International Stretto Piano Festival

Stretto Piano Events will host its sixth annual International Stretto Piano Festival during October 2026 with in-person and online concerts around the globe.

Under the artistic direction of Hannah Reimann in New York City, the festival celebrates the stretto piano, which has narrower-than-conventional keys and makes piano playing more comfortable and equitable for those with smaller hands, so a large majority of women and children.

Concert attendees will have an opportunity to try the stretto piano used for these four concerts. It is a Bernstein 165R grand piano which has a 5.5 inch octave keyboard, one inch smaller than the current conventional keyboard.
