Group Exhibitions
Nightingale Gallery presents a dynamic and diverse exhibition program, bringing together artists working across a wide range of practices.
We invite artists to take part in our upcoming group exhibitions presented in our Project Room Space. Each show explores a distinct theme, offering an opportunity to exhibit alongside a range of creatives, each responding in their own way.
Details on how to apply for each exhibition are outlined below.
Queer Nights At Nightingale: A Music and Art Festival for Pride Month
Nightingale Gallery is now accepting submissions from artists wishing to exhibit as part of Queer Nights at Nightingale, a visual art exhibition presented in conjunction with a four-part concert series taking place throughout June 2026.
In celebration of Pride Month, Queer Nights at Nightingale brings together music and visual art in a shared cultural program. Across four evenings, the gallery will host intimate performances of music by LGBTQIA+ composers from Australia and abroad, curated by leading artists including Coady Green, Meta Cohen, Robert McIntyre, and Cameron Lam.
Alongside this concert series, Nightingale Gallery will present a curated exhibition of visual artworks installed in the Project Room for the duration of the festival. Artists are invited to respond to the themes, ideas, and atmospheres of the music program, creating work that engages with queer histories, identities, and forms of expression across both sound and image.
Together, the exhibition and performance program create a layered festival experience where music and visual art coexist, respond to one another, and amplify queer creative voices.
Exhibition Focus:
Artists are invited to create or submit works that engage with themes of queerness, identity, voice, and artistic expression. Responses may be direct or abstract, drawing inspiration from music, performance, personal narrative, or broader cultural histories.
We welcome submissions across all mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, installation, and experimental practices.
